The Foundation's aim is to promote the protection of nature in its broadest definition, with particular focus on :

Preserving rare or threatened species and their habitats
Preserving biodiversity and landscapes
Sustainable management of natural resources

In order to achieve these aims, the Foundation ensures that its activities and action for the protection or the conservation of nature are based on sound science.

It also takes care to ensure that the support it gives to international, national, regional and local organizations enables them to enhance their capacity and undertake projects.
